Opening Doors in
the Energy Industry

October Newsletter

Dear Colleague

We were delighted to hold our first hybrid Africa E&P Summit & Exhibition in London and online last month and a very big thank you to all that supported us in this endeavour. It was just wonderful to see you all and the Summit received excellent feedback.

For those of you who did not attend, the recordings and presentations are in our Members Portal; full of analysis and insight for Africa and the challenges (and opportunities) posed by the energy transition for the Continent. Not a Member? Click here to Join Today

The big news this month is our upcoming Energy 2050 Summit | COP26 Edition which is free to members. Energy industry leaders will gather on 20th – 21st October 2021 to discuss, debate and collaborate on the future of energy globally and companies across the value chain join to chart a course on 'where to now?' for the energy industry.

Thank you to our fantastic Energy 2050 Summit Sponsors Clean Planet Energy and ERC Evolution for helping Frontier open doors and do amazing stuff in the global energy space!

...See you soon for this unmissable Energy 2050 Summit | COP26 Edition next week.

Yours sincerely,

A QUICK LOOK AT WHAT'S COMING UP AT FRONTIER

Carbon Tracker...Flying blind: The glaring absence of climate risks in financial reporting

This groundbreaking study examines whether 107 publicly-listed carbon-intensive firms (and their auditors) considered material climate-related risks in financial reporting, particularly in the light of clarifications from three of the four global accounting and auditing standard-setters that climate change issues should be considered in the preparation and audit of financial statements. The study also assesses whether investor concerns about Paris-alignment of assumptions and estimates have been addressed.
